For over 29 years, the Denver Street School (501c3) has served Denver’s at-risk youth by giving them a second chance to earn a high school diploma. We are a fully accredited, private high school uniquely designed to meet the needs of at-risk students.
The Denver Street School believes that a quality education is the most effective approach to transforming many underprivileged members of our society into productive citizens, and serves the population of students in Metro Denver that have struggled with, dropped-out or been expelled from the public school system, helping them toward self-sufficiency through education.
Goals:
- To provide quality, personalized education to as many at-risk students as is feasible who want a second chance to earn their diploma.
- To help students identify and overcome negative habits and patterns in their life that will destroy their future through student services and positive activities, including career counseling, athletic programs, mentoring, and faculty advocacy.
- To assist students in being productive after graduation by helping them enroll in college, enlist in the military or join the workforce.
